My personal practice involves the Norse Pantheon deities. There are many pantheons and many deities that align with certain days and times and I encourage everyone to do that research when they have the energy.

That being said, I deep dived into the days of the week last year and developed my interpretation of how I can honor the deities that hold dominion over that day of the week. Not only does this help me feel like I'm "Doing the Thing" every day - but it took the mental load of "remembering" off of me in the moment and allowed me to make a fancy chart.

So here- we will deep dive into Saturday and how I show gratitude to my spirit team:

Day - English

Day - Norse

Deity

Saturday

Lordag (Lurhrr-dahg)

N/A - Energetic day off

What no deity?

It's washing day my friends. You'll have to jump to a different pantheon to find a deity to ascribe to this day (Saturn I'm looking at you). Historically many have attributed this day as the "wash day" for the Norse ancestors - when everyone took a bath. I choose to believe this as it gives me a day to reset my candles for the week - and focus on the mundane in my life. I literally do my laundry today - catch up on chores that have fallen by the wayside and recall my energy to myself.

This is a free space day for you to determine who, if anyone, you wish to honor and what - if anything- you wish to do. It's important to give yourself a break- while I genuinely want to build a relationship with my spirit team- I also need to have a day to build a relationship with myself.
